pursuit
Hey,
So,
I thought I’d write you.
Been a minute. Haven’t checked-in.
Baby wanted to get something off chest,
but first light:
When does the horizon start
& the seams of the costume end?
Yet, I’m sprinting without
Escape,
a curse on each sleeve
because always knew what I was meant
to be. I AM NOT A SUIT
Breathe Deep
Wear breath on your sleeve––
emptiness held there, sky to body
Remove what engraved into concrete
façade of the suit into yourself
this reflection, even my eyes won’t meet
don’t echo armored cloth
or what chokes my lungs. Breath
isn’t sacred
Survival.
Instead: Soul grown true,
limitless roles of material.
Risk what you always knew.
In-deed, I’m fucking me
alive
in pursuit of breath…
MIRROR
In need to look up to myself,
you’d be so proud of the release. I AM
running, looking up underneath THE SKY
Blue,
not melancholic.
Just
Long Breath...
thought I’d write you
(action thread)
something off my chest.

created to reach the sky. created to remember to breath amongst the concrete.

BABY O
Omar, also known as Baby O, is a British-Lebanese poet currently based in London. Growing up with dyslexia and ADHD, he faced significant challenges in articulating his emotions through conventional means. However, poetry became his sanctuary, a powerful outlet for confronting inner struggles, exploring his bicultural identity, and channeling the anger and pain rooted in his past.
His work explores a range of themes, from political commentary and a profound connection to nature to the relentless pursuit of personal growth. Drawing inspiration from diverse influences, including hip-hop and contemporary poetry that defies traditional structures. Omar’s unique voice weaves together raw emotion, cultural duality, and a profound yearning for transformation.
